We’re excited to showcase one of our recently completed interior design projects — a beautiful modern residence at Japan Garden City, Mohammadpur, designed for our valued client, Md. Shamim Chowdhury. Located on the 10th floor of Block 7A, Tajmahal Road, Ring Road, Mohammadpur, Dhaka, this 1,800 sq. ft. apartment has been transformed into a stylish, functional, and comfortable living space that reflects modern urban living at its best.
Japan Garden City is well known as one of the most desirable residential communities in Mohammadpur, offering organized planning, quality living standards, and a prime location. When our client first contacted Geometric Architect & Interiors, he wanted a home that felt modern, elegant, and practical for everyday life. Our goal was to turn that vision into a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming.

A Spacious Modern Living Room
The living room became the heart of this home. With a large open area, plenty of natural light, and beautiful views from the 10th floor, we wanted the space to feel bright, elegant, and comfortable at the same time.
To achieve this, we selected a soft neutral color palette featuring warm white and subtle grey tones. These colors help create a calm and spacious environment while maintaining a modern aesthetic. A contemporary feature wall adds character to the seating area, while a sleek TV unit with built-in storage keeps the room organized and clutter-free.
The ceiling design was carefully planned to add depth and sophistication without making the room feel heavy. Recessed lighting and concealed LED strips create a warm ambiance during both daytime and evening hours. Modern furniture with clean lines, comfortable seating, and carefully selected decorative elements complete the overall look.
The result is a living space that feels elegant enough for entertaining guests while still remaining cozy and functional for everyday family living.
Bedroom Designs That Feel Relaxing and Personal
Both bedrooms were designed with comfort, functionality, and simplicity in mind. Each room reflects a modern style while maintaining a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was designed to feel like a private retreat. A custom-designed bed back panel acts as the main focal point of the room, enhanced with soft lighting for a warm and luxurious feel. Built-in wardrobes with mirror-finished shutters help maximize storage while also making the room appear larger and brighter.
A dedicated dressing area adds convenience, while the soft color palette creates a relaxing environment perfect for rest after a long day.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom follows the same modern design language while maintaining its own unique character. Smart storage solutions, a compact study unit, and a coordinated ceiling design help make the room both functional and visually appealing.
Whether used as a family bedroom, guest room, or personal workspace, the room offers comfort, practicality, and a polished finish consistent with the rest of the apartment.
A Modern Kitchen Designed for Daily Living
The kitchen was designed to balance beauty with functionality. In today’s modern homes, the kitchen is not only a place for cooking but also an important part of the overall interior experience.
We used custom-made cabinetry with sleek handle-less shutters to maintain a clean and minimalist appearance. The countertop, backsplash, and fittings were selected carefully to ensure a balanced and modern finish throughout the space.
Proper lighting was another key focus. Task lighting above the workspace improves functionality during cooking, while ambient lighting enhances the overall atmosphere of the kitchen.
The final result is a kitchen that feels organized, modern, practical, and visually elegant.
